Very interested, I need to do some schedule checking before I commit.

I saw in one of the early posts that some hogs will be $225 and some are $350? This will have to be a low buck affair for me, I'd like to shoot an axis doe or other good eating critter that won't be too expensive.

Not to sound like a wet blanket but doesn't it start to get hotter than Hades in April ?

The hogs that are greatly reduced in price will be good eating. A neighbors hog pen was broken during a recent ice storm. These hogs are black or black with some color and have only been free ranging for a few weeks so far. We told the neighbor we'd help him recover his losses since they are impossible to catch. An axis doe should be no problem. And the weather in April is great for this type of hunt! Just ask the folks that usually attend the Summer Safari!

Joe, have you got room in the group for me? I talked with the others at work and I can get the second weekend of April off.

I cleared it with work, and then with the "Boss", and I will be there. That .480 Puma will be with me. My wife is looking forward to some wild game for the grill. I will probably come in late Thursday evening so I can get started Friday Morning.

My wife and I are interested. I would be interested in one of your water buffalo with the broken horn or with one shorter. My wife is interested in one of the blackbuck or a Symitar Oryx. Could you email us the prices!

Thank you

Joe,
I guess that you better get a Nilgai bull fat for me - my .405 needs some exercise. See you and Ricky at the Safari club show Sunday.

There had not been a lot of traffic on the forum about this hunt but behind the scenes it is actually starting to fill up.
We have RKrodle, 2ndovc, CRS, Piller, JMiller, Coloradoyaler and his wife. Warhawk is seriously interested as are one or two other folks. I can comfortably take 3 more hunter for this Leverguns Safari. If we had two sets of friends or relatives we'll make room for 4. Please seriously consider this and let me know as soon as possible. We are at SCI, and other shows up until the first week of Feb and then I am absolutely swamped until the first week of April so I need to make whatever arrangements are necessary as soon as possible. You can PM me or visit our website www.tarsporting.com and call me.

Thanks! See ya there with leverguns in hand.....

OOOH, second week in April is tax time for me, again. I have to save ALL my pennies, nickels and dimes 'cause it's gonna cost me dearly. Obama's new policies cannot be worse. Prob'ly near to the cost of an African Safari every four months this year. :x

I think we might start this hunt Thursday afternoon so people can head out Saturday and be home for Easter. If that significantly impacts anyone let me know.

Joe, I will get in after dark on Thursday evening. I am bringing my Puma in .480 that I used before, and a Guide Gun. I will wait and think about what I want until I see what is available. If there is an extra Nilgai, that sounds fun, but as I said I will wait.

Joe;
Colin does want to go, so put me in for two hunters. He will use either a M92 .357 or a scope sighted .243, so we will want him to hunt something appropriate to the rifle (no bison, water buffalo, Nilgai, etc.)
So, when do you want deposits?

We're getting close. Those that are attending should plan to arrive Thursday no earlier than 4PM. We will hunt Fri and Sat with Saturday evening departures. If anyone wants to or needs to stay until Sunday you are welcome to do so, but I will be leaving for home Saturday night to make it for Easter Sunday.

We have CRS and son, RKrodle, Piller, 2ndovc, JMiller.

There is room left! Please consider joining us!

86er, Do you have any spots available? I would like to see if I can make it and possibly take a friend, we would like to take a good eating hog and an axis doe apiece. If not spaces are available will there be a Levergun Safari in the summer, also would like to know where exactely the ranch is located as I'm from Devine, just down the road from hondo on 173.

We can attempt to take an axis doe. The neighbors hogs that got out are all gone, but we can probably shoot one on the ranch. The dry weather has made it easier to see them and they come to water regularly.
