OT Tia drags another in!
Seven and a half hours ago Tia dragged this vixen into me.
Limping, she came striaght towards us and when she was at 50yds I bid her good morning quietly to which she stopped.
The 110grner just nicked her left mouth flesh and run into her neck.
As soon as I knew it was a in season vixen I immediatly set to hunting the dog fox that would be following her.
I spent two hours hunting him but he would just keep one step ahead and I never did see him.
Light snow began to fall and I was under dressed for the cold and so made for camp and got the old stove lit and cooked two eggs
Tia and I have had a wonderfull Christmass break hunting wise. I also took another fox on New years day morning but forgot the camera
Next weekend should be good too, I'm shooting walked up pheasant all day. I have 50 BP shot shells loaded for that
I nearly went out with my 9422 this morning and it would of done this fox just fine but if I had what with the cold weather I would of had a ball on the squirl, they were very active this morning.

It just doesn't seem right Nath. Hunting foxes without the horses and call of the bugle.
I always enjoy your stories and photos as does the Mrs. You must have quite the infestation of the sly little buggers.
Happy hunting!

Tia is flaked out now, she was flushing pheasants all day yesterday on a shoot too.
She is a little hard worker

Hairy clipper, we still hear the hounds and bugle around here fortunatly. Stupid laws are hard to police you know
But the latest is that the local hounds have kennel cough and so are confined to barracks for a while.

There are few things better then sharing a hunt with a good dog.

Yes rjohns, I just had enough RL12 to load less than thirty rounds that would group 1 1/2".
Only have three rounds left and next up is H4227, groups about the same but a little slower with a slightly kickier feel to recoil. If I don't use some of it up I may never use any of it. I have about 60-70 of the 110grn HP Speers left and then will be moving on to 150grners and NOT H4227!
I will see if I can get rid of the H322 for them, to many bits n bobs lying around from when I was trying to get the 94 to shoot, shame that was
