what's your opinions on these? looked at a 92 45 long colt the other day. 20" oct bbl i think. nice fit and finnish along with nice case coloring. worth the money? this one was $ 750, used, like new. are they std bore sizes or odd? do they hold up, any problems? thanks guys. john.....

I can't comment to the lever gun offerings I've not even handled one. I can however comment on the Sharps. While the fit and finish is pretty good, and the barrel is of high quality, the chamber is cut way to long, the lock is about as finished as a gravel road, and a bottle of blue loctite will keep you from having to reset all the screws in the lock and trigger every 50 rnds or so.

They are nice guns on the outside. Very much like the original but the insides are wrong. They have issues.

Could you be specific please? I have a Armi 92 in .45 Colt and if there are things I should get addressed I would like to earlier rather than later.

I do like mine. The Cresant butt plate sure lets you know that the primer functioned. The barrel is interesting. The lands look good, but you can see scratches in the grooves perpendicular to the bore. So it would probably benefit from some fire lapping.

It is a bit stiff, if your work the action like you mean all is fine, but if you are slow or hesitate it can become a struggle. I have usually won.

The Armi sport folks have contacted me about my concerns with these guns and I have sent them my list of things that I think should be changed. So for the time being I'm sorta waiting on their response. But, I will say, one of the problems I found is probably why you are having trouble slow cycling your 45lc gun. It's because the cart guides are'nt made right. The rim slots are cut wrong and don't lift the rear of the case up soon enough to make the turn into the chamber. Armi Sport makes the guides almost identical to the original. They work just fine with the bottleneck carts the guns were designed around but straightwalls like the 45lc tend to bind.

Thanks for the data. If you do get things settled out with Armi I would love to hear of it. I like the gun, it sure is purdy.
