Did you hear the audience in that? Grins, that pilot was having too much fun. I'm jealous! ;)

Yeah, that's cool!

I wonder what it would look like if he broke the sound barrier right about then.

Very cool and in my humble opinion, very stupid. He easily could have smoked a swimmer or other small boat. Just picture yourself in the water with that F-18 flying over you, Yea, sure, us macho guys would think its cool but it would probably kill old people or scare the livin'g h--l out of children.-------Sixgun

THAT MAY WELL HAVE BEEN THE END OF THAT NAVY FLYING CAREER. AN OLD PAL OF MINE WAS BOOTED FOR DOING A HELL OF A LOT LESS, FLYING UNDER A BRIDGE IN A CORSAIR.

Yes, that was part of the show. My cousin Terry L. sent me pics of that as he was there. He works for the Navy and is in charge of logistics for the FA18`s and works at Aberdeen MD. He gets to go to many of the shows because the Blue Angles are part of his group of responsibilitys (sp?).
He sends me many pics of the shows. :D

just another day at the office .....

If it is the one I've seen before, that flyby was at San Franciso's Fleet Week in 2007. I recall the pilot was almost supersonic on that pass. There is another website lots of pictures but I can't find it.

this is quite nice:
