OT: Update on wifes eye surgery-2, both eyes done.
My wife had such a severe reaction to the drugs last time they didn't give her the sedatives, only the drugs to numb the eye, dilate the pupil and kill the pain. She came through the surgery just fine. Looks like she'll be able to out shoot me here pretty quick.
She's sleeping it off right now. Her plans are to go to work tomorrow after she gets the post op check up. I think she should take the whole day off and get some real rest. She won't listen to me. She says she's already lost three days work, don't want to make it four. Oh well.
Any way after leaving the eye clinic we stopped at a Dairy Queen and ate. Yucky food. Then went to a Walmart. Wife got some Dale Earnhardt Sr material for some cat tents and I got a 3 video set of The Cisco Kid. 35 episodes, in color even. I've never seen one in color, only had B&W back then. 17.5 hours of "Awww Cisco, Awwww Pancho ........ "
On the way to the freeway I saw a Blaines Farm and Fleet store and stopped in. Checked out their sporting goods. Pretty decent ammo display, except that ALL the 30-30 was gone, most of the 308 and 30-06 too. What surprised me was they had a bunch of Winchester .45 Colt Cowboy loads. $36.95 or so per box. I was tempted, but the last time I shot that stuff it was inaccurate and pathetic. So I passed.
So it looks like her cataract surgery is going to be a success.
I'll give a range report as soon as I can get her out shooting.

Howdy Joe,
Has she been able to see the Governor of your state on TV, getting hauled off to jail? If she had blinders on an inch thick, I'd bet you kept her briefed. Filthy pig politicians who get arrested----the people should have a big bar-b-que and beer festival out in the park, whoop it up a bit when one of those goes down. Sure Am thankful for her eyes looking like they're going to get right Joe.

Glad to hear all is well. Maybe you should buy that 45 ammo and let her use it.
Best of luck.

Bruce,
I called her at home yesterday when I first hear the news. She was thrilled. I personally think politics got out of control when tarring, feathering, and running them out of town on a rail was stopped. We should reintroduce that.
iceman,
No, my wife doesn't care much for the .45 Colt, she's a .357 Mag fan. So I gotta get her some of that.

Glad to hear she is going to be good to go.
My ophthalmologist told me last week that I have the start of a cataract in the right eye. Surgery for me in a few years.

Well, we had the post op exam today and my wifes vision at this time, before they've even totally healed is: 20-20 to 20-25 vision. Prior to the surgery she couldn't even read the eye chart with her glasses. The Dr said she was legally blind.
What a difference.
Oh, he agreed with me, she could go to work, BUT, she really should take the rest of the day off. So she did.
