Good source of leverguns, or ...

...marital stress, unless you have your own credit card on the side you pay off from your part-time job.

Bud's Gun Shop: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php

If they have it in stock (and they have a LOT of stuff in stock!) it looks like you can just pick your local FFL off the drop-down list, and have whatever you want sent to them for you to buy.

Gotta find an FFL who won't mark it up too much, but if you do all the work, and the 'sellers risk' of bad check/invalid credit card has already been absorbed by the website, they shouldn't mark your price up all that much...

Anyway, I'd not seen a site before which makes it that easy to get hold of a new levergun.

( . . . and yes, I'll post pics when the one I ordered comes in . . . )

Buds is the best place to find consistantly good prices. All their prices include shipping.

Why would/could they mark it up if it's your gun that you've bought? There should just be the transfer fees, or am I missing something?

I don't know what the average fee is, but I have a guy here in Louisville, KY, that does this for $10.00 -- and he seems genuinely happy to do it. Some other dealers in town want up to $75-- which is nuts for 3-10 minutes of paperwork and a phone call.

$35 is the transfer fee from the three dealers I use around here.

A couple around here are $10 so they are who I usually will use.

I live near a mortician who is an FFL. To NRA members the fee is 8.00. I would never darken the door again of some rip off artist who attempted to stab me 75 or even 35 dollars. I always considered it fairly lucrative for them at 20 bucks. Anything more than 20, he paints me a clear picture that he does not want to ever see me again, and he won't either.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.
