How Many firearms do you own

Post by Tennessee Hayre »

I was sitting here at my desk attempting to recall the make and model of all of the firearms I have purchased over the years and the ammo I have fired in them. I had to break out a peice of paper because I kept losing track. I own . (2 Pistols) (9 Revolvers) (4 Rifles) (1 Shotgun) I just woundered how many firearms you all own. If you don't want to say thats fine because I know some folks consider thats their business. I told my wife there are 5 others I want to get when I get the $$$$. She said I was a gun nut. I disagreed.

Right now, I have:
handgun--Bersa 9mm (sights mounted on side)
shotgun--single barrel H&R (cut down to OAL of 14")
rifle--.22 Mossberg single shot bolt action (OAL of 12")
Yea, I know I have some serious money wrapped up in the above guns, but hey, life is short--play hard------------------Sixgun

all kidding aside--more than I need but not enough as I want :D

Well, I had 25-guns but no bullets to shoot in them because ammo is so expensive now-a-days. Sooooooooooo, I sold all my guns and bought ammo. Now I don't have any guns to shoot the ammo with sooooooooooooo, it looks like I'll have to sell all my ammo to afford some guns. Hopefully, I'll remember to keep at least one box of ammo so that I'll have some to shoot in the new guns. With my luck, I'll probably keep the wrong caliber ammo for the guns I get and I'll have to start all over at square-1, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr or is it square-4?

I never tell how many guns I have. You never know who's reading the forums.

Oh, I never tell how many wives I've got either. It would really PO the one I live with now.

Some time back a lawyer built a house on some of the property that runs along side ours. After the house was built and they were moving in I stopped while going out the driveway to say hi and introduce myself and my son. He introduced himself and said, and this is my second wife Leah. I thought to myself, Not for long.

Sure enough now she's driving the Dodge pickup and he's driving the Toyota. He living in the house and she's living with her mother.

Another education wasted on a fool.

It doesn't matter who is reading these forums. If you have purchased a Hunting License, or have a CCW, or bought from an FFL the Fed already knows you have at least one gun. The don't care how many you have, just whether or not you have at least one to confiscate later.

Pretty much the same here!

Even though I have a C&R, most of mine were purchased prior and from private people. I believe that my first rifle I purchased, a Glenfield 30A back in '68 or so, didn't have a 4473 filled out cause I was only 15 and I bought it at Treasure Island department store. They were stacked in the aisle, just grabbed a box and a box of ammo and went to the check out, handed over $39.99 and walked out the store. Discarded the box, stuck the ammo in my pocket, carried the rifle on my shoulder and hitch hiked to the Nike site (got picked up by a Deputy, asked where I was going and offered to drive me there) for a special deer hunt.

I have 7, and one airgun, which makes 8 gun-like objects.

Someday I'm going to get it down to 2 or 3, but nowadays I'm having a good old time shooting silhouette and hunting and so forth.

This year I'll be joining the indoor range for convenient practice, and so two of my guns will get scopes because of the dim lighting there.

Well all my US mates, come and live in Australia and then there will be no doubt about how many Firearms you own! Each one has it's own registration and in NSW where I live at present even the barrels of the firearms has a seperate registration number to the rest of the firearm!!!
But, the good part is that officially, no bad guys have guns because they would have tried to buy them legitimately and because of their non neighbourly behavior and criminal record the government boys would have refused permission - that is why we all sleep well at night over here. Well we all sleep when it is day time over your way - stop it you are confusing me!!
I have 5 hand guns / 31 lever actions / 3 pumps / 3 bolt actions and 1 shotgun - all registered, safely stored and legal.

Of course, any gun I have purchased in the past, including the one a week ago, was sold legally in a face-to-face private transfer to fund my wife's love of diamonds and gold. It is how I keep her in the "bling". Why do you think she lets me get them in the first place?

I have either 45 or 46. There is always one or two that stays in flux with trades etc.
