Saw one at the Tulsa show, a month ago, and if I remember correctly, it had a $1,399 tag on it.

I bought mine last summer, I think for close to $1300.

Check Gunbroker, but be sure to look at the actual bids, not the BIN. For example:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =117551624
I don't know what his reserve is, but he's already close to what I would consider a reasonable price.

I'd say $1300 to $1600 NIB depending on the usual buyer/seller factors. You'll see them for more but rarely for less. If you check the closed auctions on GB for the last 90 days you'll have a pretty good idea. Be sure to note the prices that they DIDN'T sell for, too. That at least tells you the outside price for that time frame.
As usual, the Pharmseller found a very good deal!!! That's a beautiful rifle, Quinn!

Umm...about that ammo...
I still have 2 UNOPENED CASES (20 boxes total) of Winchester 200 gr. Silvertips I bought the year before last.
So, unfired rifle, unopened ammo, I'm a poor excuse for a levergunner!

I'vew got the 4 gun set in rifles and carbines. Doesn't bother me in the least that they are NIB. I may---or may not shoot them, got an original 71 that gets put to use once in awhile. Fine guns they are.

I'm sittin' on the same number of unopened boxes. 400 rounds to be exact. Had 'em for several years.

What a beautiful gun! For some reason it's "glitter" looks more appropiate to me than the Browning 1886 High Grade I once had.
The prices mentioned sound right to me.
I really wonder how high the price for the Browning 1886 and 71 will go in the future? For the type of gun they are I've never heard anyone say other than--they are as good as it gets. Browning is truly a great name in guns.

When I bought my NIB Browning 71 at a gunshow it had the factory tags on it and the lever tied down-had never been cycled. The seller was horrified when I cut the tie and cycled the action after I paid him. Was shooting it before the day was done. Great rifle!
