Hey guys, I recently purchased a new printer/scanner (my first one in 10 years at least!) and I was able to scan the Elmer Keith "Big Fifty" article circa 1940 into a PDF format and AmBraCol was kind enough to post a link for it.
Bullard, I'm no legal expert but I suspect were past legal limitations here as the article was published in 1940. I think patents expire in 20 years and become "public domain"; hopefully articles do to.
Heck, I won't tell if you don't!

I don't think so, we are talking copyright here, not patent. And thanks to Disney etc and Congress copyrights now go for 50 years after the death of the creator. And I expect that when Disney is once again threatened with the loss of copyright for Mickey Mouse et al that the laws will be changed to make copyrights permanent.
Now there would be a great thing for the NRA to do, put all the old issues on line. Say up to the last two years. What a great resource that would be. Of course, I would run out of hard drive if they let us download them as PDF's, and never be seen again, as I would have years worth of reading to do.
By the way, thanks, reading Keith has always been enjoyable, and articles like this that predate me are priceless.
