Marlin pistols

Post by marlinman93 »

Stopped in my local gun shop and the owner had this little Marlin pistol to show me! It's the same model as my two tone No. 32 Standard, but all nickle, and with wood grips, instead of hard rubber. Both are the longer cylinder versions designed for the .32 Long rimfire. He wanted $100, and I figured it was OK for a "wallhanger".

I gave $25 for the two tone in the box about 20 years ago. They have gone up, but $400 each is a bit high, unless they're engraved or minty.

marlinman93-I never missed not having a collection of Marlin pistols until I made a visit to the cody, Wy. Marlin arms display. Although I couldn't handle them there was a good variety of Marlin handguns that looked every well constructed. It triggered my curiousity on these firearms. Life is good, BestLever

John Marlin worked at Colt for some time, and when he started making pistols himself he first copied Colts, and later S&W's, so he paid royalties to both companies to use their patents during the mfg. of his pistols.-Vall

A little big for my belt, but maybe a really big guy could use them!
I've got a nice old wood box that has no lining. I put the two in there and they fit well, so I'm going to put together fitted dividers and make them a cased pair for fun!
