Slinging an 1886
I have this 1886 EL that I plan to use elk hunting this year. I want to put a sling on it but I don't want to damage the rifle if I can avoid it. Any one know of a way to put a good sling on one of these without drilling any holes in the wood or messing up the blueing?

He makes slings that have a butt cuff on one end and loop around the barrel on the other. He has pictures of a couple of them. He's a custom guy, so you can have it your way.
