There's a use for it that comes to my mind, I wonder how much the ballistic of the "flying trashcan" bullets that Barnes makes for the 45-70, would improve it the nose were filled?
If it were filled completely and consistantly they'd fly right. Wonder if it would "glue" a wound channel shut
I'd actually thought this out before, but not with glue, but rather the stuff used to make fishing worms (the artificial ones
). You pour it in the bullet as a liquid, and cook it a 400 for a few min, and it becomes rubbery. Voiala! Rubber tipped levergun bullets. You'd just need a cone tipped mold to make them pointy.
I might have to get me a mold and make some glue bullets for my 357 Ruger revolver.
