I am looking to purchase an RCBS bullet mold from Buffalo Arms, cal 32-20, 115 grain with shank for a gas check. Does anyone know what gas check this bullet uses.? .30 or .32 , Hornady.?
Thanks for any help.

32 caliber (.312") Lyman or Hornady - I've never seen any difference.

Re: Proper gas check for the 32-20
Chuck and OSOK are right as it does not make a lot of difference. Personally for me I have been using 30
caliber gas checks for the 32-20 as the shank is cut for 30 caliber. Hornady and RCBS gas checks (made by Hornady) are very slightly wider per caliber as Lymans are. My 30 cal. gas checks mike out at .318 for RCBS where30 cal.Lymans are .310.
I have used the 32 caliber when I was out of 30's. I use .416 gas checks for the 40-65 and 40-82 where checks made for the 41 mag. will work. The bigger ones fit snugger which is another reason why I like RCBS/Hornady vs. Lyman. Just a personal preference.---------Sixgun
