Post by mescalero1 »

Guys & Ladies,
Just saw a trailer on the TV.
Seems the Obama campaign has asked the Missouri State police to moniter campaign ads in that state.
Can any of the Missouri guys enlighten us?

This is the first I've heard about it. I suspect it is localized in STL and KC. Missouri is one of those states that can go either way. Obama's crew is afraid of his record being shown to the public. Those that don't already know, have the right to see what a piece of garbage this man is.

Hoft said Joyce and McCulloch "are threatening to bring libel charges against those who speak out falsely against Barack Obama."
I heard about this on Rush on Friday. It fits with his past tactics of clearing the field of any opposition.

Truth squads? Headed up by Law enforcement and States Attorneys? This is really sounding like intimidation, smells of Chicago politics. I say hang his thin flimsy record around his neck and make him choke on it.

What will it take for people to wake up and see this NoBama for what it's all about. Any nation that has always had firearms freedoms, and suddenly embraces a leader who apparently has it in his agenda to disarm the populace, take their guns, ban their ammo, ban their right to carry, ban their right to self defend----------what is wrong with the populace?, that not only allows this to happen, but puts the idiot in the place he is of perhaps being the president?? 80 million (supposedly) gun owners, but only about 4 million NRA people. If 4 million folks sent in 10 bucks, the NRA would have 40 million to blanket the country with info about the Bama's gun voting record. I imagine that 100,000 people in the NRA are carrying the NRA, and why arn't there 20 million NRA members this year?, that's only 1 in 4 gun owners. I suppose if Bama gets in, peoples eyes might finally get opened, a lot sooner than they think.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.

He his also upset about NRA ads in Pennsylvania giving out his true record on firearms. His minions have threatened legal action in regards to that. He is nothing more than a black Hitler in my opinion.

+1

He knows he really needs to get two of the three battleground states of VA, OH, and PA. VA is still probably safely in McCain's ledger, though it has been trending toward Obama lately. PA is probably safely in Obama's ledger, and he wants to keep it that way. The NRA has been running ads in all three pointing out Obama's record on guns. Lots of gun owners in all three, including a lot of Democrats already nervous about Obama. His goons have threatened a lot of media outlets. Like said previously - Chicago-style politics and exactly in step with what he has done before - clearing the field of opponents, intimidating anyone saying anything negative about him, and lying through his teeth.

Breaking: Gov. Matt Blunt Releases Statement Condemning Barack Obama's Missouri Goon Squads

Missouri top prosecutors announced this week that they will threaten and prosecute critics of Barack Obama.

St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce and St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch are threatening to bring libel charges against those who speak out falsely against Barack Obama.

Missouri Governor Matt Blunt released a statement moments ago on the news this week that leading Missouri prosecutors and sheriffs supporting Barack Obama were forming "Truth Squads" to intimidate and threaten his critics.
For Immediate Release:

Gov. Matt Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”
