I can't even imagine what you are going through. As of Dec 10th Carol and I have been married 25 years. I can't even remember another way of being other than with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Please let us know if we can do anything, no matter how small to help you through this rough spot.

I pray that the Lord will give you strength, and that she will be lifted up to Him! God bless you all!

God be with you, 45-70. I pray that your wife's crossing to the other side of the river will be peaceful. She will be there waiting.

May God bless and keep you both. My wife of 35 years "graduated"(she used that word in her last hour) this past June.
The Lord will not test beyond our ability to endure. Be strong!
Mine will spend this Christmass with "the reason for the season" where there is no more pain.
You both will be in my prayers.
Sorry for the ramble ; this one just hit a bit close to home.[/img]

You will both be in my thoughts and prayers. Believe me when I say I know just what you are going through, knowing people are there to support and help you if needed is a great comfort.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Loss my wife of 23 years plus just six years ago this December 23 to cancer. I will not lie to you this was the hardest thing I have ever gone thru. It makes the other trials of life seem smooth. My point the lord will lead you both thru this and he will make things happen to smooth your road in the future. You will never really get over the lost but the pain will let up. Take the chance to spend every min. you can with your wife. She need you more than ever before in her life.
Prayers sent .
PS this board and Jim T will never be out of my thoughts for the support that was given to me..

I don't know what the 99th post can say the 98th didn't, but hopefully it helps to know that there are lots of us praying and trying to somehow share the grief among our community. Most of us probably hope to be the first ones to move on; seems like kids and wives do ok, but husbands and parents somehow aren't as able to ride that kind of wave.
Give her all the love you can while you can.

I have a friend of mine here in town that was told yesterday that his 52 year old son is terminal as well. A mater of days. It's hard this time of year. I've laid to rest two daughters, a father, and a father in law, all in Dec. Christmas time is hard.
In Christ with prayers,

Rusty I try to plug into what this time of the year is all about and the joy we had shared this time of the year with those that have pasted.Rusty wrote:I have a friend of mine here in town that was told yesterday that his 52 year old son is terminal as well. When Bev passed one poster here posted cool her first Christmas with the Lord. Kind of slapped me at first but he was right. Yup cool.
Merry Christmas to us all.
My fellow levergunners,
My wife's time is nearly at hand. She is very weak and comes in and out of being right-minded. Your many prayers in her behalf have brought us all great peace. We have our faith that our Father in Heaven will take her in his own time to fulfill His purposes in her life.
This is always the choicest time in life as one of our own near's life's end, in having great effect on others around us as we exercise our trust in the Lord to make use of my wife's great faith and testimony of the truth in lifting others that visit, serve her from Hospice and come to our home with heavy hearts.
We are making every effort to insure that she passes in our home, in our family room, where she has spent most of the last eight years. It's been very challenging and a very moving experience for our 21-yo son, who is home from college, as well as myself.
Again, thank you for your prayers...may this Christmas bring you joy, peace and a new levergun (or old one) to boot!!
