9/12/08 3:23pm; somewhere near Houston - Blue skies are gone, wind is kicking up. Here we go again.
Cars are gassed up with spare cans, have provisions and water, batteries, medicines, etc. Still have my Y2K ammo stash. House boarded to the best of my ability (see below)
I think I've done all I can with the time I've had. Any prayers y'all would lob our way would be much appreciated.

It's 9:22pm and before the sun went down the sky turned a creepy orange for a bit. The wind is gusting pretty hard, a few tree limbs are down around the neighborhood but we still have all utilities. Twice today I did hear a far off "Boom!" that I assume were transformers going off but our power hasn't flickered. Good thing!
May be an interesting night. This house didn't flood during Allison but the water came up into the yard. Hope we stay dry again.

I'm praying for everyone in the Texas area. According to the news last night before I went to bed, it was going to really tear stuff up. Let us know how it goes.

Same here. Gas has shot up to the 4 dollar mark and expected to go higher. I wish everyone in the path of this storm the best of luck.
