OT: After 8 years my wife is near the end of her battle...

Post by 45-70 »

...with cancer. Medical folks are saying days, maybe weeks, due to heavy blood loss. Haven't felt the need til now to draw upon the strength & support here on this great forum.

Request your prayers, specifically for her to pass peacefully, if you are prone to such. Thanks!

Be strong. You're in my prayers. Recalll the last line of the Gospel of Matthew:
"...I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

I'm really sorry. Take comfort in knowing that your wife will be "graduating" in a way to be with the Lord in a far better place that is free of cancer. I'm sure it has to hurt being attacked by cancer, and know that she will be liberated forever from that pain.

God bless and keep all of you,

Scott

My heart and prayers go out to you. My mother in law spent her last months with my wife and I some years back. That was months, I cannot imagine how exausted you both must be at this point.

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but do not feel guilty of a little relief when it's finally over. It's a very hard time for everyone involved, physically and emotionally draining, to the point of disbelief sometimes. God will only put us through so much, and it sounds like your wife had endured long enough.

God bless her and you in the final days and the days to come afterward, my friend.

I will be praying for you and your wife for the peace that the Lord promises His believers. Isaiah 41:13 says "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee,Fear not; I will help thee".
