Fairly steady drizzle with occasional hard rain for a few minutes over the last couple of days in Dallas. My grass/dirt is showing through in a few places so I'm more than a little bit happy about it. You gotta love the highs in the 80s, even with the humidity.

Rain - don't even remember what it looks like. Please send some our way, we're burning up!

Blaine, all we're getting is a few wispy clouds passing high over head. Great day for flying, but not for rain...

Please make it stop. Why can't this storm do like they usually do and cross over Florida on the way to slam'in the Carolinas. This one is just sitting here ... meandering around the coast, sucking up Gulf Stream water and dumping it all over Central Florida.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.
Don't forget us! We're in the third year of a horrible draught. Most people fear hurricanes - we're at the point we want them to hit, just for the rain!!!
All this rain in the Dallas area has given me mixed feelings.
The pasture looks great, but the shooting ranges are flooded, so I am dry firing my rifles to prepare for hunting pronghorn this weekend.
Oh well, it is not raining now in northern new mexico where the pronghorns and prairie dogs are. Made up a batch of antelope chile for the hunt and it is so tasty that it was tempting to have it for supper!

I have a moat around my house!
The eye of the storm is just of the beach...
and should be on land later today...
I'm gonna need a boat to get anywhere!
