Yep - that's exactly what they do; I don't take it personally - they KNOW it will get people responding, arguing, and provide the foundation for next month's article. "Revolver vs. Auto" "Bolt vs. Lever" "Magnum vs. Standard" - they go through the same topics every couple of years.
