Price on 1894 357

The running price for a 357 Marlin in S.Cal (new)is around 500 out the door.
Does this sound about right???
What in the wild world of sports is going on here

I just priced an 1894C in .357 up in NH and it was $439.99 at Dicks Sporting Goods.

Slightly high for a round barrel carbine but a good deal for a cowboy. Talking with some Cal FFL's they have to add about $50 to $100 to the prices in order to cover the state requirement.

I believe I payed about $460 for my 1894C in .357 Magnum back in March. When I got mine I bought a few different types of ammo to test in it. I like the 125 grain HSM .357 Mags or .38's and 158 grain Independance ammo.

Call BIG 5 sporting goods and see if they ahve any on upcoming sales. I bought mine last year. 380 bucks + tax dros etc. Came to around 435 I think. BIG 5 have online links to their sales.

Go to the top right hand of the page. Ask them if they still do the 357's. They were a bit hard to get even when their site says they have them for sale.

Just went to big 5 picked one up.Caught the sale a day early but they honored the
price so I didnt have to come back. $399.The normal price is 519.00 They also
have 336 30-30 and 1894 44mag for the same price.
What in the wild world of sports is going on here
