Griz, Tia weighs around 33lbs today. She is not recognised as a seperate breed here but is loved on shoots all the same.
I rarely put a lead on her, she will walk to heel good with the occasional reminder from my hat

She will "hup"(sit) on command or from a raised flat palm. She will stop to the whistle and return to heel from two pips of the whistle. She will lie down and stay untill I return or whistle.
Don't misunderstand, that makes her sound perfect but we are not. We are a good team but no show stoppers.
Her colour is a bit of a give away in the field sometimes, I have to hide her or even put her in a sack sometimes espeically when flighting geese.
But I love her to bits and Mrs Nath does too, we love to get her in the sea. Tia will retrieve a dummy no matter how far you through it in to the surf even to the point of senting for it if she cannot see over the waves!
She has a soft mouth and is very sensable so this means sometimes she will ignor a wounded crow but at leist she won't lose an eye that way
I have been teaching her to climb for game stuck in hedges or shrubs and the like, I think she will do it but I'm not expecting her to climb a thirty footer
Nath.
