Anybody reloading lead bullets for the 38/40 in these ? , generally a softer alloy , for low velocity loads

I load the old Lyman 172 grain Flat Point in both my 38 WCF and a 40 S&W. It shoots good in both I suppose I could soften it up in the 40 to 30/1 and it would expand.
