Fiocchi large pistol primers

Post by Scott Tschirhart »

I’m working through some primers I bought during the shortage.

These seem to work just as well as my favored Winchester WLP and they feed well through the Dillon. 150 primers in the packages is a little odd though.

I picked up some S&B primers during the last shortage. Haven't used them yet. The store said they were a bit "hard", but otherwise, went bang well as long at the firing pin strike was firm.

During The Great Primer Famine of the 1990s. I was visiting in Az. I came across 2K Fiocci LP primers. I burned them up in a couple months shooting 45 colt loads staying with a buddy. No problems whatsoever. Id buy more if I saw them.

A girl I was running around with at the time found me a couple bricks of Winchester primers when she went to Las Cruces to see family. The price was about $17/1000.
