Hello all, new to the forum.
I have a 1904 1894 Winchester in 38-55, purchased affordably from an auction as non cycling or non full cycling. Swapped the bolt with a 1905 and it functioned fine. I have in the gun an incorrect bolt, they physically looked different. I suspect it's a post war or post 64 bolt which is why it won't function. There seem to be at least 4 variants in bolts, pre war, pre 64, post 64, and AE. I'm looking for information on the various bolts, I believe I have sourced a stripped bolt from the right era, I'm also wondering what screws, pins, extractors etc will work across the types.
I have attached two files (if I did it right)
What I'm wondering is why there is a difference in the bolts labeled as pre-64 in the first photo, why two lugs on the green circled, and one lug on the pink circled? Why the round vs oval slot where the extractor rides (green and pink circled in the second photo) if anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.

Re: Model 94 bolt variations
The locking bolt and carriers are different too. Four basic models I believe.
Those extractor cuts were just a change made to more simplified method of manufacture.
