Dick Van Dyke will be 100 on Saturday, the 13th. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I was listening to an NPR interview with Mel Brooks today and he talked about Dick and their beloved friend and co-writer Carl Reiner. Mel and Dick still call each other and watch old Dick Van Dyke shows together and laugh. God rest them all!
The only competition that show had in the annals of TV history is Andy Griffith, in my humble opinion, although I was thinking of a Leave It to Beaver episode this morning on my way to work. This was Coldplay's tribute when he turned 99.

Re: Happy birthday Dick
Dick van Dyke had a home in Carefree, Arizona back in the 1970's. We would run into him in the local Circle K every once in awhile. He was just one of the regulars around town when he was there. A very nice gentleman. My Mom was totally beside herself the first time she met him in store. We laughed about that for a long time.
