I took my old model Ruger flat top .357 and ran some hot 125 grain loads through it. I had the Speer 125 gr. Gold Dot pushed by 18.5 gr. of H110. Shooting 25 yards I got the sight to where these loads were hitting just above point of aim. I put the black tape on the target so I could see my aiming point better. I held at 6 o'clock on the black.
No matter what I do I seem to have a habit of pulling a shot out about every 2 or 3 targets. But I get to make a joyful noise and have fun!

You'll make plenty of joyful noise with H-110, Jim.
Nice group.

.357 Mag is pretty joyful. When you get to put holes in paper like that, it is hard to stay depressed.

That's still good shootin', Jim!

Re: Shooting at the Range today
As much as I love the .38 and .357 I don’t shoot them much these days.
I suppose it’s the muzzle blast, but there’s no doubt that my old Ruger Flattop is a sweet shooter.

I will admit I shoot a lot more 38's than I do Magnums ... but there is just something about the first Magnum that appeals to me ..... of course it was my first centerfire sixgun as a teenager and I am sure that has something to do with it.

Fine shooting. I've always been a fan of the 357 Magnum. A case full of W296 makes it really bark.
