Videos like that make me feel how unlucky I am to live in England especially now parts of the UK are more third world than British....

Excellent short, Scott. Thanks for posting it.

My daughter loved the class! She has been a revolver girl since she was small. I once bought her a nice light small semi-auto. She tried and said, "No! I like the revolver better."

PillHer prefers revolvers. I can do fine with almost anything except a shotgun.

I took a pistol class from him and BrYan a couple years ago, great instruction.
Some years ago I bought my daughter a 2” K frame but she didn’t care for it. She was working at a sporting goods store and bought herself a S&W 9mm Shield. A couple years ago I bought her a S&W 43C 22 LR hammer less. I think she carries that one most often.
I’ve had a J frame in my left front pocket in and out of uniform for years. It was a 642 with Spegels for a long time. For the last year it’s been a 632UC 32 magnum.

I would like to eventually train with Darryl and Bryan. I have been hearing good things about Darryl, since 2004 or 2005, when I met one of his students at the Blade Show, in Georgia. Driving long distances does not work so well, for me, anymore, but, sooner or later, they may well be scheduled close enough to make the trip. My hands-on, live-fire snub-gun training was with Michael De Bethencourt, at the Snubby Summit in 2005, a one-time event, where I was also able to attend a lecture by the late, great NYPD gunfighter Jim Cirillo.
I generally like to carry the slightly larger Ruger SP101, mostly because its factory grip is a custom-level best fit, for my hands. A few nights ago, when confronted by a motorist with anger management issues, as he waited for "roadside assistance," an SP101 was in my hand, but small enough to keep it out of sight, in order not to escalate the situation. A larger pistol, if drawn from a hip holster, probably would have been noticed.
I recently discovered an unexpected, added benefit of small-frame revolvers. In early 2024, I had to stop pulling double-action triggers, due to arthritis moving into both of my index fingers. My near-daily dry-fire, with my "designated" dry-fire gun, a GP100, was suspended, forever. I refreshed my Glock and single-action trigger skills. After a couple of months, I tried a hypothesis, that the shorter trigger stroke, and differing finger positions, might enable me to continue to pull J-Frame and SP101 triggers in DA mode, at least in moderate quantity. Well, thankfully, it worked! (I also confirmed that my days of shooting K-Frame and larger-frame DA revolvers, in DA mode, are over and done, after 40+ years.)
