I thought I would share photos of the last day of Elk Muzzle Loader season in Section 8 on the Monogolan Rim in AZ, where not seeing where you are walking through the bush has consequences. Lots of game, but the two bulls we saw had the class on how to stay out of range of Black Powder.
This is 10 yards back from a cliff overlooking a few water holes in an almost dry river bottom 20 yards below us. I saw the bull a few hundred yards East.
The peaks in the top center are the Valcanos at Flagstaff.
This hole in the ground was 200 yards south of where we parked, and we had to walk 100 yards toward the road to avoid it.

Beautiful country. I'm a little envious.

At my age, walking around on the top is my limit. But I did check the wash leading into it for tracks when I passed through it.
