My younger dog used to be way too good at catching those smelly rascals.

When we were down there and visited with you, one morning we had one of those little critters in the back yard. We left it alone and it dug up some grubs to eat and wandered on over toward the Old Folks Home .....

I'm about 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. I can tolerate no closer, and wish I was a lot further away.

I do have to admit that being close to a lot of doctors (and I need many) is a good thing though. I don't go up there otherwise, unless it is to visit Y2K and go shooting at his fancy-pants club! :wink:

I have not seen a live skunk in a very long time.
However back when I was blessed with my beloved JRT he killed 3 skunks that I know of and never got sprayed!

Did you try one of those Baracuda pellets on it?

Yes, I used the barracuda pellet but I think any pellet would do considering where I shot him.

I was able to kill him without much fuss.

Skunks seem to pass through my yard regularly! I don't bother them;

I agree, out of town with limited neighbors (they aren't what they used to be).

I don’t even bait the trap anymore. I just put it close to the bird feeder

The old farmhouse I bought last year is surrounded by working farms. Other than the neighbor across the road the rest of my neighbors are 5-600 yards away.

I like it out here, but once the remodeling is done and interest rates come down, I'm going to move back up near the lake. I enjoy being on the water too much to be so far from it.
