Gunsmithing search

Post by Tankerjockey5 »

Hello everyone.
I am looking for a gunsmith for a fairly simple project.
I have one of the 94 Winchester commemoratives from the NRA anniversary (1971). Actually I have two of them. But I digress.
I would like to have one of these shortened to about 18” and the front sight replaced or reattached.
If you are not familiar with this model,,it has a 24” barrel with a button magazine and a pistol grip stock. It looks similar to a model 64.
With the button magazine, there would be no need to shorten it and only the barrel would have to be adjusted.
These do not have a high collector value and since I have two, I would like to have one as a rifle and one as a short handy carbine.

Anyone know of a good smith for this?
Thanks, Les

Try Kevin, he was the one who threaded two of my lever guns and a few other items of custom work.
