The Rapture came up in discussion with co-workers one time and one of them related that shortly after learning about it in Sunday School he came home to find the house empty. His fear grew as he checked every room to no avail. He finally located his dad but that was no comfort as, in his words "dad was going to hell anyways". :

That reminds me of a guy I knew ... telling about the youth evangelist who was preaching to the teens he was with. The guy told the story of a guy and girl who were making out, hands going places they shouldn't, and on the way home they stepped in front of a bus and WHAM! Both ended up in the hot place.

He said he didn't change what he was doing, but he was a lot more careful crossing the street after that.

I didn't get the memo. Thought I was going to be a "goner" today... woke up in OH, A/C working too well, turned it off, then it warmed up, turned it back on... NOTHING! Rolled the window down, the parked. Checked in at shipper, started the truck up... VIOLA! A/C again! Must be a miracle!
