In high school, a classmate, (potential girlfriend), talked me into attending her church one Sunday morning. I was a regular at another, but hey... she was cute. I was singled out as a newcomer, and asked to stand & introduce myself... then listened for what seemed like a half hour harangue about my attending the "sock hop" after our Friday nite home game. I left mid-harangue and went back to my regular church. She never asked me again. I heard from a mutual friend that her dad forbade her to talk to me.
