Trigger pulls are outstanding. And both guns have a proper throat cut in the forcing cone.

Beautiful! I dragged my feet for too long, and never sent my Super Blackhawk.

Other than throats cut what other work did you have done?
New barrels?
Just action work, springs?
Looking forward to your range results!

There was actually quite a bit of work to get these guns straightened out.

The Redhawk had a rough trigger and if you reduced spring tension it was not reliable. So he added a longer firing pin, slicked it up and set the barrel back because the front sight was past top dead center. New sights and a general clean up.

The SBH had a 6.5 inch barrel, so he shortened it and put a special retainer system to keep the ejection rod in place. (Important with a .454 Casull). Slicked it up and took the trigger down to a weight that really works for precise let off. New sights and general clean up.

I had lanyard loops put on each gun and special markings. I forget what else we agreed on.

Gotcha, some much needed work, nice to have it done by one of the best out there.
You know how they shot before, I bet you are anxious to see what they can do now. Keep us posted!

Lovely sixguns and textbook forcing cones. I really love your Casull, Scott. You must have a British army officer somewhere in your genes to account for the swell lanyard rings! 8)

No British in my background. But I do see value in a lanyard ring and I’ve used them for many years.

Guns like that are ones that you can look at and think you don’t even need your other guns.

.45 Colt. But the .454 will probably only consume .45 Colt.

In either of these guns you can load .45 Colt up to where it’s no longer fun to shoot.

I am willing to suffer through the requirement to use them for you.
