NO DRONE ZONE

Post by 4t5 »

There is pending legislation to ease drone restrictions , and I ‘m not a fan .
I don’t want anything flying over my property.
The war in the Ukraine has made it real clear what drones can do , and I want to steer clear of them.
Lefty protesters wont have to throw sandwiches anymore , they’ll use drones for more nefarious stuff.
We need legislation for us to opt out of drones on our private property, with stiff revenue fines.

.
The danger is there. A drone could fly at an altitude WAY above shotgun-reach, and drop an explosive or other problematic item.

Not sure how to word the regulations though - we kind of have to allow airplanes to fly over at 5,000 ft or above, and there is little risk from them, but a drone at 500 ft might be above most regulatory limits, yet still could be eavesdropping, contaminating, or bombing someone.

Shotguns aren't going to work at the heights most drones fly, and as small and fast as they are. Hopefully we won't encounter 'military' ones, with the fiber-optic, but those ones can travel several miles from the operator, and are immune to radio signals since the commands come via the fiber.

I hear tell a powerful enough transmitter can over power a remote transmitter.

Yea, it can be just like the no call list. That worked out well.
