Wow. Now the question becomes whether the discharge was truly accidental or not. Either way, the damage to Sig's reputation will only soften a little bit, given the other incidents. Puts them in that rock and a hard place where it could cost them millions and that was touched off by something entirely not the gun's fault.
I still think they should develop a drop-in FCG replacement based on the 365 mechanism. Offer it at cost or close to that. Admit nothing but just as a option for customers who think they need to change out the mechanism. It could turn the situation from a reputational disaster to a customer-partnership solution.
It is all about the optics.

No joke -- why did it take 2 weeks Thats a very secure facility, im sure there is camera footage the GP (general public) will never see one way or the other though
