Leverguns Site

Post by Rimfire McNutjob »

Is this site actually under a DDOS attack? THR was experiencing one this past week and put CluoudFlare in front of the site to solve the problem. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that many gun boards are under this type of attack from some unknown person or organization. The problems with this site persists.

... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

I thought this was a coordinated attack from the get-go .
Yes the site is sluggish, I've taken to disconnecting my wifi then reconnecting and it works a bit better.

Prior to the site going down I read that GUNS magazine/FMG publishing were attacked and down for a couple weeks.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if our suspicions are correct Nut!

Site is still spotty and yesterday I couldn't get it to open at all. Today was a little slow, but working.
The Marlin Firearms Collectors Forum also started a protection thing where you have to wait to be verified before the forum opens, but then it works fast.

Experience the "typical" problems yesterday -- connection timed out, slow loading, and I needed reenter name and password to log on. I checked the "remember me" when I logged on. This AM had to reenter name and password again. Page lorded quickly. I logged on a few minutes ago, and no problems. Hopefully, the problems are corrected.

I don't want to curse us, but it seems to have be working fine over the last couple days. Before that, I was in the same boat as everyone else - and do suspect it is some anti-gun hackers causing problems.
