Range Time Today With The Cimarron .45

Post by JimT »

Today I ran it with the .45 ACP cylinder. With the .45 Colt ammo it hits almost POA at 20 yards. With ACP ammo it hits lower which is to be expected .. lighter bullet and all.

I may not change anything on this gun! It's working fairly well with most everything I run through it.

Well done, I wish I could say the rest didn't help. I have an AZ Ranger Cimarron in .45 Colt that shoots that well.

Fine shooting in my book, let us know if you stick with 45lc or file down the sight a tad and make it a dedicated 45 hard baller.

Looks good Jim!

My USFA is slicking up nicely. I haven’t taken a stone to it yet and might not. Just changed the trigger spring.

I ordered a Heinie trigger/bolt spring for the Cimarron. I took it apart and relieved some of the pressure of the flat spring and that helped until I get the other spring. I have run about 400 rounds through it and it is smoothing up also. I am happy at how clean the barrel stays.

Same with the USFA. Very clean barrel. My Colt fouls more with the same loads. Probably could use some polish.

I have an Uberti EL PATRON with 5 1/2 inch barrel in 45 colt, and I really love that pistol.
