Shootists Holiday 2025 III

Trespassers on the Range. They did not seem worried. I think they saw us shooting and figured it was safe to cross.

I was privileged to get to shoot one of Terry Murbach's sixguns ... a .357 Ruger. I ran a couple hundred rounds through it.

Bobby Tyler had his 9mm Gatling Gun there and allowed anyone to shoot it who wanted to. It ran non-stop for at least 3 days if not longer. Too much fun!

I donated Paco's .357 Rossi to The Shootists for the Raffle. Matt Olivier won it. I think he was happy about it.

The Whittington Center is a separate organization from the NRA and is a 501C3 Non-Profit Corporation. It is not part of the NRA and receives no NRA funds, but runs on donations and charitable gifts. This year The Shootists gave $10,000.00 to The Whittington Center and another $10,000.00 to Adventure Camp. The raffle this year raised most of that money. There were some great prizes in the raffle including some really nice guns.

Maybe someday I'll have a chance to attend. Doubtful but I can dream...
Keeping that Gatlin gun going for 3 days, music to my ears!
It's great to see folks are opening their wallets to continue to support the Whittington Center.

Awesome people in an awesome setting, I keep a membership at the Whittington Center, and donate a couple times a year, but nothing like you folks! That is a cool old Rossi, I thank you for letting me get fingerprints on it! That is sure a magical place.

Or mow the grass .. whatever comes first ... (the grass was tall enough I thought we might lose a small child in it! - got it cut yesterday, now I have 3 or 4 days of weedeating.)

No, sad to say. I had my Bearcat Shopkeeper in my pocket also and never got a shot at anything!

Looks like a big turnout, things have grown a bit. How many were at the first gathering?

I think about 25. There were 16 Founding Members. I think there was close to 175 this year.
