Headed to Raton
Looking forward to good times with good friends and cooler weather.
Strapped on my old SAA and I have a .50 caliber ammo can full of shells. I’m well equipped.

You are probably aware that one of your watering holes, the St James Hotel in Cimarron has closed down.

My last visit to the St. James hotel with a rowdy crew.

Re: Headed to Raton
Scott, I was under the impression that the St James had closed permanently but I could be mistaken. It apparently closed in September of 2024 for want of new management but several sources indicate that it reopened in late December of 2024. The new managers are from Red River and own one or more other resort properties. They were chosen for their interest in local history and the old days of the West in general. It's a bit difficult to wade through the dates which at first didn't specify the reopening as being in 2024 or 2025.
The bottom line is that I THINK they're open for business again. Sorry about the confusion and I hope you get a chance to go there again.

We'll be needin' "pitchers" and lots of 'em! Hope the St. James is open again. It's fun to try to count all the bullet holes in the walls and ceilings.

Re: Headed to Raton
Sir, it was so nice to finally meet you and Mr. Taylor, I hope you all have the best time, 40th Anniversary is a big deal. This morning when I hit the gift shop on my way back to Alamogordo, they did let me sneak into the museum and walk around the firearms display in the museum, hopefully the whole thing opens soon.

Scott, how long did the Tractor Supply squirrel last? Jim, I would love another opportunity to spend time with you. The amount of shooting knowledge you possess is priceless. Hope to see all of y'all again!

And a kind gift from a friend.
But after thinking about it, I gave it back. I don’t need to add more to my clutter.

That's a really neat Redhawk, please tell me you put at least a couple rounds downrange with it.
