It would be nice to know for sure. Probably hinges on 'semantics' - I'm guessing there are lots of semi-useless tapes that would just re-expose innocent young women and need not be made public, but there are also lots of tapes no doubt showing identities of VIPs who partook of such things. I'm guessing the latter group have either 'disappeared' or will have some reasons to be kept from public view if the VIP was powerful enough. They may find a few to throw under the bus to appease the public, but I'm pretty sure there will be many who get away unscathed.

As to the argument that there are tons of tapes which would expose the identity of victims - I thought it was relatively easy for computer video people to put the pixellated ovals over faces with software, and that if that were truly the problem it would be taken care of easily and tapes released by now.

As to Epstein's death - even if it were a 'suicide' - I'm thinking he could well have been TOLD to do it (on penalty of far worse things than death), and may have complied. It's not like that hasn't happened to people in the past.

One thing for sure, they'd better start perp-walking some people or the public is going to give up on ever fixing things. I know the statute of limitations is an excuse why they aren't arresting many of these folks, but there are exceptions for some crimes, and you can bet that if the criminal acts in question were committed by one of us 'regular folks', they'd find some reason to prosecute us even if the crime happened fifty years ago.

I still trust the intent of many of the players, but it only takes a few to spoil and sabotage things.

One case I (there were 5 troopers assigned to it) worked on had just one box of videotapes. It was a child sex case. It took the 5 of us two weeks to watch every bit of each video (you can't send them to court "defense" without knowing what is on EVER bit of tape. I can just imagine how my cameras there were and how many 1000s of hours of tapes there are.
One of the reasons I am willing to help with the execution of all pedophiles.

The tapes are rather minor in the big scheme of things. The real question we need answered is "what foreign intelligence service was running Epstein?". Pretty sure the answer is "Israel's Mossad" and since Trump is totally backing Israel even when it harms America and conflicts with our First Amendment and threatens to splinter the MAGA movement -- well I won't be surprised if we don't get much of the real "Epstein Files".
