Ruger Buckeye 32-20/32 H&R Mag, convertible (Mfg. 1988)

Post by trooper joe »

Just took possession of this very hard to find Ruger Blackhawk convertible.

A .32 H&R Mag cylinder came in the gun with an extra 32-20 cylinder included in the box.

The “Buckeye” distributor mark is on the top of the frame as shown. I believe this was a distributor that was located in Ohio at the time the gun was shipped (1988).

A check with the Ruger serial number on line tool verifies the 1988 shipping date

A forum member posted that he was willing to trade this Blackhawk for my .327 Single Seven, so the rest is history.

Looking forward to getting to the range with this since I have companion 32-20 and 32 Mag lever guns to go with them. (Browning 53 32-20 and a Marlin 1894 .32 mag).

I would look forward to your thoughts on this.

I didn’t know Marlin made 1894’s in 32 H&R Mag; was that a conversion also…?

I believe they only made them in 2006.

Nice snag of one of the Buckeye guns. You don't see them too often. Wish I would have kept my Marlin 32mag.

Very nice! I have never seen one of those in person. If I did I would probably break my arm getting my wallet out.

What are those grips? Micarta or laminate? I like the black look of them.

I love my “Baby Vaquero”. It will make a great companion piece to my Ruger Buckeye 32-20/32 H&R Mag.

I have one of those and love it!
.32 WCF HV will outperform .327 from that revolver.

I missed a chance to buy a Buckeye in .38-40/10mm a couple years ago and deeply regret it.
