I dont know the arrangement this forum has with its tech support, if admins do it or an outside source, but tech glitches happen, and need to be figured out. Sometimes its hostile attacks, sometimes its just freak events, sometimes its aging forum software. If the tech people are busy with a number of events on more than one forum, not everybody gets to be at the front of the line.
Yes, its frustrating, some people rage quit, some are able to be frustratedly patient while the tech shamans/exorcists do their mystical thing to drive the evil spirits out of the software. Here we have a free forum, and so far not choked with ads like many now are. Some forums have supporting members with extra benefits from their support, but the end result is the same, stuff happens, the responsible people are likely trying to sort it out.
If it recurs, an upgrade may end up being required. Old forum software doesnt always age well and I think its been quite a while since a major upgrade here. I dont know who would pay for a forum upgrade, Im not familiar with the way its organized, but at some point someone has to pony up the money to keep the lights on and for improvements when needed. Many people volunteer to help pay for upgrades on other forums. Considering what many pay monthly for TV cable or streaming programming, helping a forum is not a bad investment in todays world when we find places online we really like and want to see them survive.
Hopefully we can get a progress report from the people trying to get this figured out.

I dont post as much as in the past, but this is one of only a small handful of places I visit regularly online.
Tough times with tech issues will pass.
