S & W Victory vs armadillo

Post by t.r. »

We returned from our trip and this pest was in our side yard. The pistol is my new S & W Victory chambered for 22 LR. I had considered a Ruger Mark IV but decided on the Victory because it is all stainless steel and has fiber optic sights. The impressive exit hole was caused by Winchester hollow tips. -TR

Well that worked!
Is your Smith as accurate as a similar Ruger model? I've always wondered about the Smith Victory vs. the Ruger Mk. IV vs. the Buckmark.
I confess that by the tread title I was expecting to see an old Smith & Wesson lend-lease DA sixgun in .38 S&W. 8)

Bill: This Victory is just as accurate as any competitors. Trigger is ideal for good shooting. TR

That’s a good armadillo….the dead kind.

But I was also looking forward to seeing an old Victory Model .38!

thanks, i read up on those critters, wondering if people eat them, and i ran across a string of references to the dangers catching or contacting leprosy, which seems to be part of their make-up. it's an either-or proposition . . .

any info on that?

Heck, now I feel obligated to break my old Victory .38 just to assuage everyone's disappointment. I"ve had a couple of 'dillos come through the yard, so the targets are available.
