Anyone having LOG IN issues?

Post by GunnyMack »

I've been trying to get on all day. The forum would load very slowly or freeze up . I've been on 3 different wifi systems, now using a different search engine to get on.

I emailed Paul earlier, he replied he could get in one way but not the other?

So has anyone else been having issues lately?

Oh and I normally use Duck,Duck Go

I started feeling that familiar disturbance in the force three or four days ago -- the hesitation to load and so on -- and expected it to go offline at some point with the 503 error. Glad it is resolved!

Yesterday was pretty rough with 503 errors and server time outs. Today is great though.

I gave up yesterday after trying numerous times during the day. I don't log out, so no issue there, but anything I clicked on wouldn't open. It just seemed to lockup and not allow me to do anything here. And I tried opening it through an internet search of the site and no different, so I just gave up until today. Working fine now.

dreamhost.com appears to be the provider. kind of a wonky path to go from oregon to denver and back to portland.

the 208 ip seems out of order and makes me wonder if it's a hacker or a dos attacker

self-signed security cert denver router.jpg
this is from a router in the chain, it's a security hazard and possibly a trouble maker.
i went there by entering the ip in the address spot, bypassing the dns system.
the other routers returned a no such place mesg, which is good.
so i can't fix it without a kamikazi drone, and they are on back-order

For the last 3-5 days, I also experienced trouble logging on. Several times, my computer would not load the site because the connection timed out, could not establish a connection, or service was unavailable. I tried logging on a different times of the day and experienced the same problem(s).

If the first attempt was a failure, I would log onto another site, then close out that site, and try to log onto Pacos. When I did that, computer logged on with in a few seconds. But then that procedure started to become slower and slower or would not work.

This morning again it was very slow to load.

Unsuccessfully tried to log on about 20-25 minutes ago. This message came up:

"Service Unavailable

"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

Ray, I've been getting that same message, yesterday & today. I finally just said forgetaboutit and skipped logging in... went and looked at a recent post, and when that page opened up, it showed me as logged in. Weird.

I was. I couldn't log in on my personal computer for a week. Or rather, it would start logging in, I'd get the blue circle of frustration, and then it would puke out.

Do not know how it was fixed or who did it, but last night and this morning, the web page loaded fast, very fast! Hope this issue will not return.

My thanks to whomever fixed it.

Still having issues on my phone but not my desktop. Obviously, there are problems that no one is addressing.
