Gun Value
Because of health issues I'm going to have to sell off part of my gun collection, trouble is I have no idea what there worth so I'm asking here what is a good place in books or online of accurate prices of firearms, your reply is appreciated.
Re: Gun Value
Gun Broker and Guns International would be a good place to start. If you have some really rare premium firearms, it may be a good idea to find an appraiser
from a reputable auction house.
Sorry you are having health problems.

.
I think there is/was also a GunsAmerica auction site.
You should be able to sign up for a free membership that gets you more search (and buy/sell) privileges. So then you can look at COMPLETED sales to see what given make/model guns are ACTUALLY selling for. Just seeing that your particular firearm is 'up for auction on Gunbroker for $2,300' does NOT mean you will get more than $50 for it - it is the completed sales that tell the story.
I've only sold locally on consignment, but even doing that I like being able to research the GunBroker or other auction site prices so I have at least a reasonable price to look for. Of course if you live in whitetail deer midwest country, a Marlin levergun in 30-30 will likely be faster to sell than the same gun would in a big city, where a generic Glock would likely move faster.
The government seems to feel you should not make any profit on even a single sale, if it is 'guns', whereas you can sell and trade old sewing machines, old cars, old binoulars, old radios, or whatever at how ever much profit you want - with perhaps taxes being the only hurdle. But with 'guns' the BATFE apparently has decided that ANY profit on even a single sale means you are "engaged in the business of dealing in firearms". . . . . . so be careful...!
