Today we started a little job. Come to find out the home owner was a year behind me in high school. I didn't really know him until one day he called me all excited , he just shot a deer with his new bow. He knew nothing about tracking let alone how to gut one! So I went to his house and I tracked it, showing him to look on trees, how footprints slip, etc until we found his deer. I then talked him through gutting it( I stayed clean!) . He is still hunting and now his high school age son hunts as well. Kinda makes me proud that someone is helped all those years ago has passed it down to his son!
Anyhow we are packing up this afternoon and he pulls out a box of ammo. He pulls out a box of Remington 25-20, 85gr lead. I said 'how much you want for it?' He said here take it. SCORE! All unfired to boot!
The hand written price on the box is $8.80!!!
It's in the modern green/yellow box.
Next he pulls out a box of Remington 38-40, then a 44-40. If anyone is looking for them let me know and I'll see what he will let them go for.
