I've had one for a couple of years. It is very well made.

Thank Walt! I like personal testimonies. It looked really good and I am glad to hear it is.

You can see from the above pictures that the adjustable piece supporting the handgun's barrel can be moved to the other side of the stationary piece to allow for shorter barrels; you'll notice that the tightening levers are facing the opposite direction in the lower picture.

The felt padding can be re-ordered if damaged and the appropriate allen wrench is stashed in the pistol butt supporting pad.

For being made of aluminum it is surprisingly heavy. It sits on 4 heavy duty rubber feet.

It's a high quality product.

That's a good-looking rest indeed. Good to hear the pads are replaceable. I have a habit of wrecking rest pads with revolver blast -- especially from the black powder Colts and Remingtons.

21.0 gr. of H110 under the 125 gr. Speer JHP in the .357 Magnum sixgun is pretty hard on things either side of the pistol. I fired two shots resting it on my rolled up sleeping bag that was in it's cover and now it is a ventilated cover!

If I remember correctly, Ransom recommended covering at least the front rest with an old towel to protect against revolver B/C gap blast.

And reasonably priced at $170 , it's listed in the latest Rifleman.
If I got one I thing I would spray the whole thing down with Flex Seal just to soften it some.
