King George III will get what's coming to him Saturday -- the 250th anniversary to the day of the exchange of fire between American patriots and British occupational forces in Lexington and Concord -- courtesy of a copy of a Charleville Model 1766 flintlock musket, the originals supplied to the Colonies by our friend, France. A bit hard to see are the three paper cartridges at left -- .640 round ball over 110 grains of FFg. (The period cartoon of the king examining in horror a portrait of Cromwell was actually published in 1792.)
Thats a great load Bill. years ago I shot 110ffg under a 370gr T/C maxi ball from my Renegade at Family picnics . Just another "Thing" I won't be doing anymore. . Give the King what He deserves.
