RIP Val Kilmer

Sad news today that Val Kilmer has passed.

His role as Doc will always be tops.

He'll always be remembered for "Tombstone," but I also really liked his work in "Thunderheart," with Graham Greene.

His rendition of Doc Holiday was the best. But I also liked him in HEAT.

Willow was my favorite Val Kilmer movie, but I liked him in just about every role.

It was hard to see him in the newest Top Gun , cancer and chemo had took a toll on him. RIP Doc

His portrayal of Colonel Patterson against the Maneaters of Tsavo in the Ghost and the Darkness was excellent as well

In memory of both Colonel Patterson and the actor who portrayed him.....

Can't leave out his portrayal of Jim Morrison in the "Doors" movie -- and he sang all the vocals too!

I actually thought the treatment of his character in "Top Gun - Maverick" was as much a tribute to IceMan the character -- as it was to Val Kilmer the actor. I heard a quote from Tom C today that said he lobbied hard to get Val into the first Top Gun, and how pleased he was that they were able to include him in the sequel. Yeah, it only took 26 years, but it's the best movie sequel ever, in my opinion.

I watch his Doc Holliday scenes on YouTube all the time. I loved him in Tombstone.

May he rest in Peace, and prayers to his family and friends.
My two favorites were GHOST AND THE DARKNESS and TOMBSTONE

I have to admit I was kind of hoping April second Val would pop out and say "Surprise".
