I shake worse as i get older. my grandmother shook a bit. my uncle had parkison's. i had an mri done on my head, showed no tumors, clots or strokes. or anything abnormal/ i didn't get the second one that involved radioactive dye for a higher contrast. i've seen what that stuff did to some of my friends, made a bad situation worse! my question is, is there any over the counter stuff that will calm the shakes, really throws my cornhole game off. i've read to where weed helps, but not ready for that route yet. any suggestions from our drs here?

Had my Mom at the Doctor for a checkup ... he asked, "Does she drink much coffee?" and we all answered, "No! She spills most of it."

I don't know anything about it but I certainly have gotten shakier since I got older.

Pretty sure it's just part of getting older to one degree or another. Only 72 and I shake a little. But have no "conditions ".

.
Most people with 'tremors' do NOT have Parkinson's, but have a fine (vs coarse) tremor of hands or head that responds to beta blockers (older blood pressure medications). Your physician can advise and prescribe on that, but it is the more likely type of tremor.

Good luck with this Rossi. I've been mostly spared so far, but someone I care deeply about has issues with this and refuses to discuss it.

I do take blood pressure medicine. will that aggravate my shakes?

I am almost 75 and began to have some shaking in my right hand, but usually only shakes when I'm really trying to do something intricate. People have asked about it on occasion, and when they ask I look and it stops. It's like it's mostly something that happens if I don't think about it. Pistol shooting seems to be less shaky, and rifles not at all.
I don't worry about it, but it is annoying sometimes when it happens.

From my personal experience some medications can cause trembling.

I'm only 41, but I have occasionally had a bit of a shake. I have found that stopping coffee helped tremendously, but I since have started drinking coffee again, but in much smaller amounts and not every day, which also helps.
